How To Remove the Evil Eye

I often have people coming to me thinking they've been afflicted with The Evil Eye, and want to know how to remove it or whether they've been afflicted with it. Before we can really delve into these techniques, we first need to understand what the Evil Eye really is.

What is The Evil Eye?

The Evil Eye is a type of curse of affliction that originates from the people living around the Mediterranean Sea. This includes the people of Southern Europe (Spain, Italy, Greece, Albania, etc.), the people of the Middle East (Turkey, Lebanon, Iraq, Syria, etc.) and the people of North Africa (Egypt, Libya, Algeria, Tunisia, Morocco, etc.). Some neighboring cultures also inherited the idea of The Evil Eye but in all cases, the affliction manifests itself in the same way.

Symptoms of The Evil Eye

The Evil Eye is typified with physical symptoms including vomiting, diarrhea, profuse sweating, eye afflictions (infections, redness), possible bleeding from orifices (mouth, nose or anus) and general flu-like symptoms. All of these involve some form of fluid loss from the body. It is important to note that The Evil Eye is not a sickness or medical condition, but if you are experiencing any of these things you MUST go to a doctor and have them treat your physical condition. A magical curse that is afflicting your physical health causes real physical ailments. You must use medicine under the supervision of a doctor in addition to any spiritual courses of action, to remedy the physical ailments.

How Did I Get Hit With The Evil Eye?

The Evil Eye is a type of curse that can be cast on someone intentionally or unintentionally. (Usually it is something unintentionally sent against another.) The Evil Eye is cast on someone by peering or fixing your gaze at them while paying them a false compliment that is laden with jealousy. Jealousy and envy are the hallmarks of The Evil Eye, and usually it is another person's envy that is at the source of the problem. For this reason it is common for parents of children from Mediterranean cultures to lightly insult, or dismiss any compliments given to their children, to counteract potential Evil Eye. Some cultures will lightly spit to dismiss the devil or counteract The Evil Eye when a compliment is paid (the fluid of the spit combats the drying nature of The Evil Eye). Usually it isn't necessary to identify who hit you with The Evil Eye - it is better to remove it and then put up protections against any future problems.

How Do You Remove The Evil Eye?

Removing The Evil Eye or cleansing The Evil Eye can be accomplished in several manners. All of them involve some kind of moisture/fluid (to counteract the loss of fluids from the body) or something representing blood or water to counteract its effects. Each culture has a different way of removing The Evil Eye. Typically, the person afflicted with The Evil Eye is the one that has to perform the cleansing - or a parent (in the case of a child) has to perform it. I'll include some of my favorites below.

Egg Cleansing To Remove The Evil Eye

One of the simplest ways to remove The Evil Eye is to take a chicken egg, and pass it over your body from your head down to your feet, making sure to thoroughly pass it over the most afflicted area of your body. As you pass the egg over your body recite The Lord's Prayer and Psalm 23. When you finish at your feet, take the egg outside and toss it over your left shoulder into a crossroad (a "+" shaped intersection of streets or roads) and walk away without looking back. If you do not have a crossroad nearby you can also toss it against a large old tree and it will disperse the energy. After you've returned home, use one of the techniques later in this article to prevent future attacks of The Evil Eye.

Uncrossing Baths To Remove The Evil Eye

One of the best ways to remove The Evil Eye's desiccating force is to take an Uncrossing Herb Bath. Dr. E. Dripping Olive Oil Into Water Removes The Evil Eye

This technique comes from Italy. To do this you'll need a large bowl of water and a bottle of olive oil. Drip the olive oil into the water until you are able to form a ring of floating olive oil in the water. Pray the Lord's Prayer while you do this. Once you have done this, you have successfully removed The Evil Eye. Toss the water/oil combination outside into the street and walk away without looking back. This technique employs the use of water itself to counteract the body's fluid loss when The Evil Eye hits. Follow this up with one of the techniques below to prevent future attacks of The Evil Eye.

Okra Baths Remove the Evil Eye

Okra is a powerful and magical plant when it is properly used. It can cut through or remove almost any curse on the planet including The Evil Eye. Okra is called ilá by the Lucumí people who practice Santeria which means "tears". Much like the tears that are shed when enduring hardship or a curse, okra can cleanse away the negative effects of The Evil Eye. The juicy watery nature of okra will combat the drying influence of The Evil Eye and will take it off of you immediately. To make an okra bath, take 13 fresh okra pods and place them in a large bowl of room temperature water. Rip up the pods with your hands, crush and squeeze them in the water to get their juice out. Let the bits of okra sit in the water for about ten minutes, then using a sieve, strain them out. You only want the juice. Take your bowl of okra juice into the tub or shower and dump it over your head as you pray for any evil or negativity to be removed from you including the jealousy of others. Rinse the excess juice off of your body with a shower, towel dry, anoint your body with some Fiery Wall of Protection Oil and dress in light colors for the remainder of the day. You should follow up with one of the methods below to prevent any future Evil Eye.

How To Prevent The Evil Eye

The best cure is preventative measures. Before you ever get hit with The Evil Eye, there are several charms you can use to prevent it in the first place. These are called apotropaic charms and work to deflect, reflect or block The Evil Eye. If you have been afflicted with The Evil Eye, it is best to do one of the cleansing techniques above, then use one of these protective techniques to prevent future attacks.

Evil Eye Beads, Necklaces, Charms or Jewelry to Prevent The Evil Eye

Evil Eye beads are becoming very popular in current fashion. These typically are made of blue (or sometimes red) glass in the shape of an eye and are strung onto cords worn as bracelets or necklaces. They work through the color of water (blue) or through the power of fiery red to counteract The Evil Eye before it hits you. It is common for Mediterranean families to have a large version of these glass Evil Eye charms hanging on their front door or in the foyer the moment you enter the home. This works to protect the entire house and its occupants against The Evil Eye and any jealousy they may receive from visitors or neighbors. Dress these beads with Fiery Wall of Protection Oil in order to maximize their effectiveness against The Evil Eye. I recommend dressing the beads or charms once every three months.

Coral or Jet Jewelry Prevents The Evil Eye

It is common in some areas of the Mediterranean (Spain, Italy) to employ the use of coral or jet as an apotropaic charm to prevent The Evil Eye. Coral grows in the sea and its connection to water counteracts the drying effect of The Evil Eye. It is also red in color which fights fire with fire to deflect The Evil Eye. Jet is another gemstone (called azabache in Spanish) that works to absorb The Evil Eye so that it does not hit the person that is wearing it. Interestingly, both of these gemstones were associated with European magical workers or witches in their cultures. A simple bracelet, necklace or earrings made of coral or jet will work to effectively block The Evil Eye. Hoodoo Spell to Remove Evil Spirits

An evil spirit is one of the best
ways to haunt and curse a person.

Lately I've had several clients come to me seeking help for inexplicable conditions that feel like a curse. Everything the try to accomplish falls apart, and good opportunities turn sour. Their relationships are afflicted with constant arguments, and they can't seem to be able to keep a job. They have difficulty sleeping and sometimes feel like there is a presence around them. With some divination I confirmed that these particular clients were being cursed by an evil spirit that was sent to torment them.

Cursing with Evil Spirits of the Dead

In order to understand how this hoodoo spell to remove evil spirits works, you have to understand how and why people curse and haunt people with spirits of the dead.

One of the most effective ways to curse someone is to send a dead spirit after them. The spirit works tirelessly as instructed by the rootworker who sent it. The spirit never needs to eat or sleep and it can work continuously while the rootworker moves on to other endeavors. The spirit is bought from the cemetery (usually with an offering of a silver dime and some whisky) and then sent after a specific target, usually using their name, birthdate, a photo or a physical item from their body. Once the spirit is sent after their enemy it will continue to harass them until the goal is accomplished.

Typically, spirits are sent out of vengeance or spite against someone who has been wronged. One of the first things I do in a consultation is ask if there is anyone my client may suspect as a source of the curse. Perhaps it is someone with whom they work that wants them fired. Perhaps it is an ex-lover that is angry for the break up. Sometimes an in-law will hire a rootworker to haunt them so that they'll break up their marriage. The reasons are endless, but the effect is the same: a continual misfortune that perpetually afflicts the person and no amount of uncrossing or cleansing seems to fix the situation.

Spirit Traps Can Remove A Cursing Spirit

One of the most effective ways of removing an evil spirit from a person that has been cursed is by using a spirit trap. Spirit traps take many forms and are found in cultures all over the world. Typically spirits of the dead are trapped in some kind of container either by magical enchantments, holy names, herbs and substances, and then the spirit is either controlled and used for other magical workings, or it is laid to rest. I prefer to take captured spirits and lay them to rest in the cemetery, giving them a Christian burial so that their spirits can rest in peace once and for all.

Constructing a Spirit Trap to Catch an Evil Spirit

When I make a spirit trap I will typically use a bottle or bowl to catch the spirit. I utilize palo trazos (symbols) drawn on the floor or altar to guide the spirit into the container, and I use items inside the bowl or bottle to ensnare the spirit once it enters. A very reliable hoodoo technique to catch evil spirits inside a bottle uses 9 nails, Spanish moss and blackberry leaves. The nails will nail down the spirit in place, and the magical power of the iron in the nails is well known for rooting energy in place. Spanish moss tangles and captures the spirit and is effective in crossing work. Blackberry leaves have little hooks and snares on them that are good for ensnaring an enemy or slowing them down.  I add these items to the bottle along with some ground up sticks used in Palo Monte to draw and capture a spirit.

How to Lure an Evil Spirit into the Spirit Trap

Luring the evil spirit into the trap is the hardest part. You have to know the right songs to sing, and the right prayers to use in order to invoke your guardian spirits to protect you and force that spirit to comply with your efforts. (These are secrets and I will not reveal them here as some of them are only accessible to initiates of Palo Monte.) I also usually entice the spirit to come by using personal concerns of my client that resonate with the energetic frequency of their body. By luring the spirit with offerings of booze and cigar smoke, and befriending them, I can often get them to come near. The songs and prayers I recite catch the spirit in my vicinity and the personal concerns and Palo Monte figures under the bottle are what pull the spirit toward the bottle. The spirit will be guided into the bottle with a puff of cigar smoke and a bit of fire to light the rum in the bottle on fire. Once it catches fire the spirit can audibly be heard to enter the bottle. I then finish by stoppering the bottle with a piece of stick from Palo Monte that is known for conquering spirits of the dead.

Laying the Spirit to Rest

Once the ritual is complete I use chamalongo divination to determine whether I caught the spirit or not. If I didn't succeed the first time I will use different offerings to lure the spirit and try again. Once the spirit is indeed inside the bottle, I will chain the bottle up to restrain the spirit and keep it in place. Then I wrap the bottle with black cloth so that the spirit cannot see what I am doing. I take the bottle to a cemetery, dig a grave for it, and lay it to rest with Christian prayers and a memorial including flowers laid over its grave that it may rest in peace once and for all. On the way out of the cemetery I pay the spirit that guards the cemetery to keep that spirit there for good.

Cleansing to Restore the Client to Blessings

After such a powerful ritual is done, I find that clients still need additional cleansing to remove any negative after effects. I usually follow up with a course of seven Uncrossing Herb Baths done over the course of a week, and a Protection Mojo Bag to keep them safe from future attacks. I personally have to cleanse myself to remove any ill effects from handling such negative energy as well. It might also be a good idea for my client to follow up with some Road Opener spells or spells to draw in the goodness that was stripped away from the curse.

I Think I Am Cursed or Haunted! What Do I Do?

This spell is very hazardous and should not be undertaken by a novice or by anyone who does not have the backing and protection of their guardian spirits. The Truth About Road Opener (Abre Camino)

One of the most popular blends in modern-day rootwork is Road Opener. Road Opener products can be found in just about every modern-day supplier and their popularity makes sense. Who wouldn't want their roads to be free and clear of obstacles? But most rootworkers don't really know the backstory on Road Opener, where it comes from and what it really takes to make true Road Opener products.

Where Does Road Opener Come From?
Road Opener as a magical blend originates from afro-caribbean traditional religions and their magical systems. The name Road Opener is actually a direct translation of the Spanish name Abre Camino. Abre Camino means "opens roads" or "road opener." It describes the magical purpose of the blend quite succinctly; it clears obstacles and allows you to have open roads to success and attainment of your goals. What most rootworkers don't know, is that while Road Opener (Abre Camino) is a name that describes the function of the magical blend it is also the folk name of an herb! Abre Camino is the folk name for Eupatorium villosum, a shrubby bush found in the tropics.

What is Abre Camino (Road Opener)?
Abre Camino (Eupatorium villosum) is commonly found throughout the Caribbean and in near-tropical climates like southern Florida. Its introduction into magical products comes from the Afro-Cuban religions of Santería (Lukumí) and Palo Monte where the plant is used extensively in magical preparations and religious rituals. While the stems and branches of the plant (whole and powdered) are more typically used in the religion of Palo Monte, the leaves of the plant are used in Santería.

Road Opener Products Must Have Real Abre Camino Herb!
So now that you know what Abre Camino is, and where it comes from, you can logically deduce that real Road Opener products need to have real Abre Camino herb within them While there are many Road Opener oils and baths out being sold out there, not many of them have actual Abre Camino herb within them. We firmly believe in the power of plant spirits to assist the rootworker in the work she or he does. Without the presence of that herb in the blend, it's just another "cleansing" product like Van Van or Uncrossing - but it's not real Road Opener.

Crossroad Road Opener Herb Baths
There are many ways to use Road Opener Herb Bath. Here's one way to remove obstacles and open your roads to opportunity. First take one packet of Dr. E. Products' Road Opener Herb Bath and pour it into a large coffee cup. Pour boiling water over it and allow it to steep for about 10 minutes. Strain the herbs out and if you'd like you can sprinkle them on the earth outside your front door. Get a large basin or bowl and fill it with bath temperature water. Add the cup of herbal infusion to the bowl of water - this is now your magical bath.

Take your bowl into the bathroom and place two small white candles on either side of the bathtub. You're going to need a way to collect some of the used bathwater that comes off of you during your bath, so either plug the tub or place a second empty bowl inside the tub to catch any leftover bath that runs off of you. Light your candles, disrobe and take your bath into the tub. Pray to God in whatever way you are most comfortable - you can even pray to the orisha Elegguá and ask for his help in opening your roads, removing any blockages you may have toward goodness in your life, and to make your journey easy. Pour the bath over your head and make sure some of it runs off into that bowl you're standing over. Pour the bath completely over your body making sure even your back and feet get a good washing. Wipe any excess bath off of you and step out of the tub.

Lightly towel dry but do not remove all of the moisture from your skin. Let the last bits dry on you to keep the influence of the herbs on you. Dress in white clothes head to toe (for best results - or at least the lightest clothing you can find). Collect some of your used bathwater in a cup and take it to a four way crossroad. Now to be clear, because there seems to be some confusion about this, you need a crossroad where 2 roads intersect in a + shape. (That's it, please don't over think or overcomplicate the idea of a crossroad as many have done in the past.)

Be careful of traffic, but do the best you can with the following part. Toss a bit of the used bathwater toward the road running east saying "Open my roads to health and vitality". Toss a bit of the used bathwater toward the road running south saying "Open my roads to success and luck". Toss a bit of the used bathwater toward the road running west saying "Open my roads to love and passion". Then toss a bit of the used bathwater toward the road running north saying "Open my roads to prosperity and wealth". Then say "Man of the Crossroads, I ask you to open my ways, clear my obstacles and help me have success and progress in life. Amen!" Now return home, and pinch out your candles. If you want you can place them up on a fire-safe counter or on a plate and let them burn all the way down. If there's any leftover used bath water you can just let it run down the drain.

Road Opener Candle Spell
There are also many ways to use Road Opener Oil but here's a great easy way to use it. First you'll make a name paper. Take 4" x 4" piece of paper and write "Open Roads" on it stacked 3 times. Turn the paper 1/4 turn clockwise and write your name across it stacked 3 times. Dab a bit of Road Opener Oil on the four corners and center of the paper and set it aside.

Get a yellow jumbo candle (or any other type of candle) and dab a bit of Road Opener Oil on it. Stroke the oil on the candle toward you saying "Open my roads to health, love, money and luck!" Set the candle in a candle holder. Place the name paper on a plate then sprinkle a bit of Road Opener Herb Bath on top of the name paper in the shape of a large "+" (making a little crossroad on the plate). Place the candle in the center of the "+" of herbs. Now pray to God in your own words for the obstacles in your life to be cleared away and for your roads toward your goals and the blessings in your life to be open and easy.

Light the candle and take a moment to gaze into the candle flame and picture all of the goals you would like to accomplish in life as if you already had them. Once you've pictured all of your goals and desires, say "Amen" and let the candle burn all the way down. Once the candle is done burning you can interpret the way the wax drippings are shaped for signs as to the success of your spell. (this is a very subjective and interpretive art - please don't ask for help in interpreting your own results) You can finish up by taking the wax remains, the name paper and the herbs, wrapped up in a bit of brown paper and leave it in trash receptacle near a crossroad (where two roads intersect in a "+" shape). Walk away and don't look back. Your roads will be open and clear.

Turning your Bad Luck into Good Luck

I've had lots of folks recently contacting me because they've had a string of bad luck: unfortunate events, opportunities slipping out of your hands, etc. The thing with luck is that it's a very delicate thing. In essence it is "things turning out in your favor." When you start experiencing bad luck over long periods of time, then that's your signal to take action. Here's how you can turn your luck around in three easy steps.

Step 1: Clean, clean, clean!
A thorough regimen of magical cleansing is always the best course of action when you first start to encounter bad luck. There are several options and any one of them would work.

• 7 cleansing baths taken once per day over the course of seven days using either: Uncrossing Herb Bath, Spiritual Purification Herb Bath, or 13 Herb Bath


• An Uncrossing Spell Kit - to bust through any negative magic someone may have put on you


• An egg cleaning: roll a black hen's egg (no I don't sell them, nor do I know where to get one) over your body from your head down to your feet then go outside and smash it in the middle of the crossroad


• Spritzing with Van Van: using a spray bottle make up a cleansing potion using water, a tablespoon of whiskey, a few drops of Van Van Oil, some Broom Straws and a pinch of salt - shake well and spritz your body from your head down to your feet daily when you get home

In addition to cleaning yourself, you want to cleanse your home. I recommend doing 7 uncrossing floor washes, one per day over the course of a week. You can make this floor wash by brewing up a cup of Uncrossing Herb Bath, straining out the herbs and adding it to a bucket of mop water. Mop from the back of your house toward the front door, then from the sidewalk to the front door and wipe down the front door really well with a moistened rag. Toss the used bucket of water out in the crossroads (tossing it toward the east and walking away without looking back).

Step 2: Protect, protect, protect!
After you've taken so much time to cleanse yourself and your environment, you want to set up protections so that any negative energy or bad luck doesn't come in and ruin all that work. To protect your home, make up the following protection bottle spell.

You'll need:

• A glass jar with a screw on lid


• 9 devil's shoestrings


• 3 bay leaves


• Fiery Wall of Protection Oil


• A whole ginger root (not too big - you want it to fit in the jar)


• Dragon's blood resin


• One white offertory candle

Start by burning some of the dragon's blood resin on a small charcoal (only use the kind intended for indoor use - not barbecue charcoal). Capture the rising smoke in the glass jar and set the jar mouth-down on your table to trap the smoke inside. Using the Fiery Wall of Protection Oil, dress the whole ginger root calling for it's fiery protection to keep your home safe and free from any bad luck. Dress the devil's shoestrings with Fiery Wall of Protection Oil, again calling on their spirit to protect you and trip up the Devil and any evil from coming near your house. Take the three bay leaves and dab a bit of Fiery Wall of Protection Oil on them, asking for their spirit to assist you by keeping bad luck at bay.

Now turn the jar over and place the whole ginger root inside. Then add in the Devil's shoestrings. Finally add in the three bay leaves. Put a dab of Fiery Wall of Protection Oil on the inside of the lid and screw it on tight. Take the white candle and carve "Protection" on one side of it, and your name on the other. Dress it with Fiery Wall of Protection Oil stroking toward you to invoke protective energies into your life. Using a lighter melt the bottom of the candle and stick it to the top of the jar. Light the candle and pray Psalm 23 while the candle takes light for God to protect you with His divine providence and love. Let the candle burn all the way down on a safe, fire-proof surface. Once it is done burning, bury the jar near your front door to prevent any evil from approaching your home.

Now that your home is protected and safe, you'll want to protect yourself. The best way to do this is to carry some kind of protective amulet. I often tell my clients that something as simple as a gold cross pendant dressed with some Fiery Wall of Protection Oil will do the trick. Other clients (especially the ones who are under the jealous gaze of many enemies) are better served by wearing evil-eye jewelry made with blue eye-shaped beads to ward off their penetrating hateful looks. You can easily find necklaces and bracelets made of these beads as they have become very fashionable. Just dab them with a bit of Fiery Wall of Protection Oil and pray over them weekly to keep them strong.

Step 3: Luck, Luck, Luck!
Now that you've protected yourself you want to replace the empty void you've created through cleansing with something positive. In this case we want to do some straight-up luck spell work. Here are two Good Luck Spells that you could choose from.

Lucky Cat Mojo Bag Spell

For this spell you'll be drawing upon the imagery of a cat as a harbinger of luck. In this case it's GOOD luck!

You'll need:

• One green cat candle


• Lucky 777 Oil or Fast Luck Oil


• A gold dollar coin


• A whole nutmeg


• A High John the Conqueror root


• Black cat hair


• A green flannel bag


• Your photo


• A flat dish

Get a photo of yourself and write your name 7 times stacked on the back. Turn the photo 1/4 turn clockwise and write "Good Luck" 7 times stacked across your name. Dab a bit of Lucky 777 Oil or Fast Luck Oil on the four corners and the center of the paper and fold it in half three times. Place it under the dish.

Take the green cat candle and carve "Good Luck" across the front and your full name across the back. Dress it with Lucky 777 Oil or Fast Luck Oil and set it in the center of the dish. Dress the gold coin, and the nutmeg and the High John the Conqueror Root with Lucky 777 Oil or Fast Luck Oil. Place them in a triangle formation on the dish around the cat candle. Light the candle and pray over it for good luck asking the spirit of the lucky cat to draw good fortune your way. Once the candle has finished burning, place the nutmeg, the dollar coin and the High John the Conqueror root in the green flannel bag along with the black cat hair and your folded up photo. (You can also take a pinch of the leftover wax from the candle and add it to the bag too.) Name your bag and tie it shut. Dress the mojo bag with some Lucky 777 Oil or Fast Luck Oil. A Powerful Uncrossing Spell to Remove Spirits

The term "uncrossing" comes from the magical concept of cursing called "crossing." To cross someone up means to obstruct their life with misfortune. The name comes from the idea of laying down equal-armed crosses of powders or other objects where the target will walk through them. Uncrossing, therefore, is the process of breaking through a curse, cleaning it off of a person and restoring them to balance and spiritual health.

Typically, uncrossing spells center around the use of Uncrossing Baths usually prescribed to someone in 3, 7, 9 or 13 baths depending on how severe the curse is. This is a standard and effective way to cleanse the physical body if powdered were used against someone or if the curse is afflicting the person's health with symptoms like itching, welts, lack of energy, sickness, etc. In addition to Uncrossing Baths, it's usually a good idea to do an Uncrossing Candle Spell to deal with recurring curses timed to hit the target over and over, month after month. After any uncrossing spell it's also a good idea to immediately apply some kind of protection to keep yourself clean. On rare occasion, you need something a bit unexpected as a way of Uncrossing yourself. The Uncrossing Spells I present below are my own unique spells, work powerfully and are good spells to do if something like an Uncrossing Spell Kit isn't enough to break through the curse.

A Powerful Uncrossing Spell to Remove Spirits

Some craftier conjurers will use spirits of the dead to haunt their targets. The afflicted target is haunted day and night with tortured nightmares, spiritual phenomena happening around them with no logical explanation, and a perpetual feeling of being followed. The spirit is paid for the work they do on behalf of the conjurer, so part of the uncrossing has to be either a higher payment, or a complete eradication of the spirit tying it down into the bowels of hell so that it will not continue to torture the person any longer.

You'll need:

• Graveyard Dirt of a Soldier (purchased in the proper manner)
• A jumbo double-action candle
• A pointy tool to carve the candle
• 1 bottle of Uncrossing Oil
• Seven 13-Herb baths
• Seven Protection Herb Baths
• 1 glass bottle with a twist top
• black cloth (sufficient to cover the glass bottle)
• Blackberry leaves and branches
• Whiskey
• 9 pins
• 9 needles
• 9 coffin nails
• Frankincense and Myrrh incense
• a cigar
• gunpowder
• A prepared Protection Mojo Bag with its bottle of Fiery Protection Oil
• A bundle of fresh herbs including pine, fern, sage, lemon verbena and mint tied together

Preparation

First, prepare the bottle by putting the blackberry leaves and branches inside of it in a tangled mess. These will trap the evil spirit when it enters the bottle. Add the pins, needles and coffin nails to the bottle. Finally add some whiskey to the bottle to fill it 1/3 full. These "spirits" will draw the ghost into the bottle as alcohol feeds the spirit.

Next prepare the candle. Cut the tip off of the candle and carve a new one out of the foot of the candle (dig out the wick). You'll essentially be burning it upside-down. On the black part of the candle carve "wicked spirit be gone!" in mirrored writing. On the white side of the candle carve "Blessed and protected by God". Rub Uncrossing Oil on the candle stroking away from you on the black part, and toward you on the white part. Set this in a candle holder and set it aside.

The next part should be done outside. Set the bottle on the ground (preferably a paved surface) and stand the client facing away from the bottle about 5 feet away. Lay down a spiral of the purchased graveyard dirt around the client and extend the end of the spiral so it heads toward the bottle and encircles it. On top of this line of graveyard dirt, lay down a line of gunpowder. Once you have dislodged the spirit from the client the gunpowder acts to fire up the spirit of the soldier to grab that negative spirit and take him away from the client and into the bottle where it will be trapped.

Dislodging the Spirit from the Client

Before you begin to mess with the client, start by protecting yourself. You should have both feet, both hands, your forehead, heart, navel, and the back of your neck anointed with Fiery Protection Oil. Additionally, I recommend you summon all of your own protective entities and spirits to help you out. Finally, make sure you are wearing white or similarly light colored clothes to make sure you are well protected. If you have a Protection Mojo Bag, carry it.

Now that everything is set up, you're ready to start. Begin by lighting the cigar and making sure you have a nice burning ember at the end. Flip the cigar around and put the lit end into your mouth and blow out through the cigar to propel smoke out of it toward your client. Use the smoke to coax the spirit that is attacking them to come forward. Then, grab the bundle of herbs blow some cigar smoke onto it and pray either Psalm 51 (below) or The Lord's Prayer:

Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions.

Wash me throughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.

For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me.

Against thee, thee only, have I sinned, and done this evil in thy sight: that thou mightest be justified when thou speakest, and be clear when thou judgest.

Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.

Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom.

Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.

Make me to hear joy and gladness; that the bones which thou hast broken may rejoice.

Hide thy face from my sins, and blot out all mine iniquities.

Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me.

Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.

Then will I teach transgressors thy ways; and sinners shall be converted unto thee.

Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O God, thou God of my salvation: and my tongue shall sing aloud of thy righteousness.

O Lord, open thou my lips; and my mouth shall shew forth thy praise.

For thou desirest not sacrifice; else would I give it: thou delightest not in burnt offering.

The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.

Do good in thy good pleasure unto Zion: build thou the walls of Jerusalem.

Then shalt thou be pleased with the sacrifices of righteousness, with burnt offering and whole burnt offering: then shall they offer bullocks upon thine altar.

Now, slowly turn the client and lightly whack their body with the bundle of herbs. As you do so, command the spirit to leave that person's body and to leave them alone in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen. Start at their head, and work your way down toward the feet. (Make sure you do not disrupt the spiral of graveyard dirt and gunpowder.) Once you have reached the feet, move over to the bottle and blow some cigar smoke into the bottle and around it to coax the spirit to move toward the bottle. Now addressing the spirit directly, state that you have created a new home for it, one where it can enjoy good drink and a good smoke - over in yonder bottle.

Capturing the Spirit

Now, praying the Lord's Prayer over and over again, take the cigar and light the gunpowder closest to the client so that the burn will spiral out and away from him toward the bottle, propelling the spirit to leave the body and enter into the bottle. Shoo it along with the bundle of herbs as the sparking flame moves along. When the gunpowder finishes burning around the bottle quickly cap the bottle and state aloud "Spirit I have trapped you in the tangled mess in this bottle. Never more will you be able to escape this bottle and never again will you trouble another soul! In Jesus' name AMEN!" Wrap the bottle in black cloth and tie the opposite corners tightly over the top of the bottle so that it will never see the light of day again.

Protecting the Client

Now, smoke the client with Frankincense and Myrrh, to lighten their energetic field and build up their natural defenses against any other spirits. Hand them a Protection Mojo Bag to carry. Dab a bit of Fiery Protection Oil on their wrists, forehead, heart, bottom of the feet and back of the neck. Hand the client the candle and tell them to go home and light it and let it burn all the way down. Also send them home with 7 Protection Herb Baths - for them to use over the course of the next week. Send them home.

Getting Rid of the Spirit

Next, visit either the ocean or a river that flows out of town. Throw the bottle into the ocean off the end of a pier or into the river saying "I banish you to the abyss! Return to the hell from whence you came! In Jesus' name AMEN!" Walk away and don't look back. Return home by a different route than the normal one you take.

Clean Up

Finally, you need to clean yourself up. You can mop down the area where the ritual took place with Chinese Floor Wash or Florida Water to remove the graveyard dirt and gunpowder. You'll then take seven 13-Herb Baths over the course of the next week. Each day you should visit your ancestor altar and pray to your spirits and ancestors for them to be strong and protect you. Keep a candle lit on that altar throughout the week. When you take your baths make sure to toss out the used bathwater toward the east over your left shoulder (preferably into the street) and walk away without looking back. Wear your Protection Mojo Bag the entire week and dress your body with Fiery Protection Oil every day.

Clear the Way with Road Opener! (Abre Camino)

Sometimes life feels like a constant up-hill climb. Everything you try to do is a huge effort, and often those efforts don't amount to anything. It's like a serious case of bad luck.

Now, in these instances it's a good idea to rule out jinxing or crossing as a cause. A good psychic reading will help you in determining the cause of your problems. If you come up clean, and aren't being hexed or crossed in any way, then you just need to have your road opened up a little.

These should be started on a Monday, the herbal infusion is poured over the head to wash away any obstacles, and then the captured bath water is tossed into the crossroads over your left shoulder (just as in an uncrossing bath). These baths will serve to open up your opportunities in life and make things a lot smoother for you. Keep in mind, Road Opener Herb Baths will not remove jinxes or evil magic that has been thrown at you, so it's important to check to see if the cause of your obstacles in life is due to external magic, or just plain old bumps in the road.

Roads of Fortune Spell - For Love, Money and Luck

Here is a great little spell to help open up opportunities for you in life; love, money and luck. It capitalizes on the power of Road Opener products along with some other condition oils.

You'll need:

• Your photo
• 1 Yellow glass-encased candle
• 1 red jumbo candle
• 1 green jumbo candle
• 1 orange jumbo candle
• 1 Bottle of Road Opener (Abre Camino) Oil
• 1 packet of Road Opener (Abre Camino) Herb Bath
• 1 bottle of Fast Luck Oil
• 1 bottle of True Love Oil
• 1 bottle of Money Draw Oil
• Salt
• a piece of pyrite
• a whole nutmeg
• a lodestone
• a red flannel bag

Start by gluing your photo to the front of the glass-encased candle. Then poke 3 holes down into the wax of the glass-encased candle using a skewer. Into the holes add a few drops of Road Opener Oil. Set this candle in the middle of your work area. Now, on the red candle, carve the word "Love" and dress it with True Love Oil stroking the oil toward you. On the green candle carve "Money" and dress it with Money Draw Oil stroking the oil toward you. Finally on the orange candle carve "Good Luck" and dress it with Fast Luck Oil drawing the oil toward you. Set these three candles in holders in a triangle pattern enclosing the yellow candle with the orange as the top point of the triangle, and the red and green candles as the bottom two points. Using salt, create a line from the point candles to the central candle. You should, in effect, have three roads of salt radiating out from the central candle toward each of the three blessing candles. Dress the lodestone with True Love Oil and set it by the red candle. Dress the nutmeg with Fast Luck Oil and place it near the orange candle. Dress the pyrite chunk with Money Draw Oil and place it near the green candle.

Now, go take one Road Opener Herb Bath as described above. Once you have dried off and disposed of the used bath water properly, then return to your working surface and light up the central candle. State "OPEN THE ROAD! OPEN THE ROAD! OPEN THE ROAD!" knocking on the table each time you say it. Then light the orange candle and state "My roads in life are filled with good luck, good fortune and fortuitous outcomes. This I pray in the name of Jesus Christ! AMEN!" Next light the red candle and state "My roads in life are filled with love, acceptance, friendship, camaraderie and support. This I pray in the name of Jesus Christ! AMEN!" Finally light the green candle and state "My roads in life are filled with prosperity, money, good paying jobs, fortunate financial transactions and large profits! This I pray in the name of Jesus Christ! AMEN!"

Then begin chanting "Luck, Love, Money - OPEN THE ROAD!" over and over while you gaze into the flames that are lit. As you chant faster and faster, stamp your feet and once you feel you've raised enough energy stop and exclaim "By your holy power, Jesus Christ, AMEN!" Allow the candles to burn all the way down. When the central candle has burned out, you can then collect the pyrite, the nutmeg and the lodestone and place them in a red flannel bag. You can add a pinch of the salt from the "roads" that radiated out from the central candle too. Tie off the bag, dress it with a bit of Road Opener Oil and carry it with you for general good luck in everything you do.

Clean Both Physically AND SPIRITUALLY!

Cleaning is such a mundane chore. The mopping, the vacuuming, the windows - it all gets to be such an exhausting task. But there's a way to make the most out of your weekly chores around the house: make them MAGICAL! You're already scrubbing away the dirt, you might as well scrub away any dark energy and negativity while you're at it! Here are a few great ways to make cleaning your house a clean both physically AND spiritually.

Mop the Floor and Clean the Ambiance

I find one of the easiest ways to keep your house clean is to lace your floor cleaning products with condition oils. If you're working a lot of hoodoo and you need to keep your house clean, or if you have a lot of foot traffic in your home, a good thing to do is convert your ordinary lemon-scented floor cleaner with Chinese Wash. Here's how I do it:

• 1 bottle of Lemon Pine-Sol
• 1 bottle of Van Van Oil
• 1 bottle of Chinese Wash

Open up your bottle of Lemon Pine-Sol, add in about an eye-dropper full of Van Van Oil, and about 1 capful of Chinese Wash into the container. Give it a really good shake while you pray to God to empower the blend to shatter any evil hexes laid against you, sweep out the Devil and his darkness, and to keep your home clean like a temple in his Most Holy Name.

The next time you mop your house, you'll be using Chinese Wash instead of plain ol' Pine-Sol, and you'll notice the energetic difference.

Protect Your Windows From Prying Eyes

The windows of your home are one of the weakest points when it comes to protection. People can look in and see your business, or they can even break in by jimmying a window open. A great thing to do is add some protection to your window cleaner using Fiery Wall of Protection Herb Bath. Because you don't want streaking on your windows, you'll be making an infusion of the herbs in ammonia instead of using a condition oil. Here's how you'll do it.

• 1 package of Fiery Wall of Protection Herb Bath
• 5 tablespoons of ammonia
• 1 bottle of ammonia-based window cleaner
• 1 strainer

Pour the Fiery Wall of Protection Herb Bath into a glass container. Pour the ammonia over it and cover it up to protect you from any fumes and to keep the ammonia from evaporating. Let the mix sit for about 20 minutes. Strain out the herbs and pour the mix into your window cleaner bottle, making sure to prevent the herbs from going into the bottle. Pray over the blend for God to protect your home from any enemies known and unknown and to keep your home safe. The next time you clean your windows, you'll be using protection-infused cleaner to keep your home safe.

Keep Your Body Clean, Body and Soul

This one is a personal favorite of mine. You can add any condition oil to a body wash or shampoo that you regularly use to keep that magical influence on your body. I like to put some Van Van Oil in my hand soap, some Fiery Protection Oil in my body wash or even some Success and Eloquence Oil in my shampoo. The applications here are unlimited!

Want to draw more money into your life? Get a spicy-smelling body wash and add some Money Draw Oil to your body wash (just the smallest bit - you don't want to irritate the skin). Want to attract a particular guy? Put some Love Me NOW! Oil in your floral shampoo and give him a tight hug - when he smells your hair he'll be hooked.
