Turning your Bad Luck into Good Luck

I've had lots of folks recently contacting me because they've had a string of bad luck: unfortunate events, opportunities slipping out of your hands, etc. The thing with luck is that it's a very delicate thing. In essence it is "things turning out in your favor." When you start experiencing bad luck over long periods of time, then that's your signal to take action. Here's how you can turn your luck around in three easy steps.

Step 1: Clean, clean, clean!
A thorough regimen of magical cleansing is always the best course of action when you first start to encounter bad luck. There are several options and any one of them would work.

• 7 cleansing baths taken once per day over the course of seven days using either: Uncrossing Herb Bath, Spiritual Purification Herb Bath, or 13 Herb Bath


• An Uncrossing Spell Kit - to bust through any negative magic someone may have put on you


• An egg cleaning: roll a black hen's egg (no I don't sell them, nor do I know where to get one) over your body from your head down to your feet then go outside and smash it in the middle of the crossroad


• Spritzing with Van Van: using a spray bottle make up a cleansing potion using water, a tablespoon of whiskey, a few drops of Van Van Oil, some Broom Straws and a pinch of salt - shake well and spritz your body from your head down to your feet daily when you get home

In addition to cleaning yourself, you want to cleanse your home. I recommend doing 7 uncrossing floor washes, one per day over the course of a week. You can make this floor wash by brewing up a cup of Uncrossing Herb Bath, straining out the herbs and adding it to a bucket of mop water. Mop from the back of your house toward the front door, then from the sidewalk to the front door and wipe down the front door really well with a moistened rag. Toss the used bucket of water out in the crossroads (tossing it toward the east and walking away without looking back).

Step 2: Protect, protect, protect!
After you've taken so much time to cleanse yourself and your environment, you want to set up protections so that any negative energy or bad luck doesn't come in and ruin all that work. To protect your home, make up the following protection bottle spell.

You'll need:

• A glass jar with a screw on lid


• 9 devil's shoestrings


• 3 bay leaves


• Fiery Wall of Protection Oil


• A whole ginger root (not too big - you want it to fit in the jar)


• Dragon's blood resin


• One white offertory candle

Start by burning some of the dragon's blood resin on a small charcoal (only use the kind intended for indoor use - not barbecue charcoal). Capture the rising smoke in the glass jar and set the jar mouth-down on your table to trap the smoke inside. Using the Fiery Wall of Protection Oil, dress the whole ginger root calling for it's fiery protection to keep your home safe and free from any bad luck. Dress the devil's shoestrings with Fiery Wall of Protection Oil, again calling on their spirit to protect you and trip up the Devil and any evil from coming near your house. Take the three bay leaves and dab a bit of Fiery Wall of Protection Oil on them, asking for their spirit to assist you by keeping bad luck at bay.

Now turn the jar over and place the whole ginger root inside. Then add in the Devil's shoestrings. Finally add in the three bay leaves. Put a dab of Fiery Wall of Protection Oil on the inside of the lid and screw it on tight. Take the white candle and carve "Protection" on one side of it, and your name on the other. Dress it with Fiery Wall of Protection Oil stroking toward you to invoke protective energies into your life. Using a lighter melt the bottom of the candle and stick it to the top of the jar. Light the candle and pray Psalm 23 while the candle takes light for God to protect you with His divine providence and love. Let the candle burn all the way down on a safe, fire-proof surface. Once it is done burning, bury the jar near your front door to prevent any evil from approaching your home.

Now that your home is protected and safe, you'll want to protect yourself. The best way to do this is to carry some kind of protective amulet. I often tell my clients that something as simple as a gold cross pendant dressed with some Fiery Wall of Protection Oil will do the trick. Other clients (especially the ones who are under the jealous gaze of many enemies) are better served by wearing evil-eye jewelry made with blue eye-shaped beads to ward off their penetrating hateful looks. You can easily find necklaces and bracelets made of these beads as they have become very fashionable. Just dab them with a bit of Fiery Wall of Protection Oil and pray over them weekly to keep them strong.

Step 3: Luck, Luck, Luck!
Now that you've protected yourself you want to replace the empty void you've created through cleansing with something positive. In this case we want to do some straight-up luck spell work. Here are two Good Luck Spells that you could choose from.

Lucky Cat Mojo Bag Spell

For this spell you'll be drawing upon the imagery of a cat as a harbinger of luck. In this case it's GOOD luck!

You'll need:

• One green cat candle


• Lucky 777 Oil or Fast Luck Oil


• A gold dollar coin


• A whole nutmeg


• A High John the Conqueror root


• Black cat hair


• A green flannel bag


• Your photo


• A flat dish

Get a photo of yourself and write your name 7 times stacked on the back. Turn the photo 1/4 turn clockwise and write "Good Luck" 7 times stacked across your name. Dab a bit of Lucky 777 Oil or Fast Luck Oil on the four corners and the center of the paper and fold it in half three times. Place it under the dish.

Take the green cat candle and carve "Good Luck" across the front and your full name across the back. Dress it with Lucky 777 Oil or Fast Luck Oil and set it in the center of the dish. Dress the gold coin, and the nutmeg and the High John the Conqueror Root with Lucky 777 Oil or Fast Luck Oil. Place them in a triangle formation on the dish around the cat candle. Light the candle and pray over it for good luck asking the spirit of the lucky cat to draw good fortune your way. Once the candle has finished burning, place the nutmeg, the dollar coin and the High John the Conqueror root in the green flannel bag along with the black cat hair and your folded up photo. (You can also take a pinch of the leftover wax from the candle and add it to the bag too.) Name your bag and tie it shut. Dress the mojo bag with some Lucky 777 Oil or Fast Luck Oil. Carry the bag with you against your skin for the first week so that it becomes accustomed to your energy. After that you can carry it in your pocket or purse to continually draw money your way.

7 Herb Baths for Luck

Here's a really simple way to bring luck your way - magical baths. This time you'll be doing 7 consecutive baths using 7 Herb Bath. When you bathe make sure to pour the bath over you from your feet up toward your head (to draw in the luck) and capture some of the used bath water. When you're done, take that captured bath water outside and toss it over your left shoulder toward the east with an "Amen". Walk away and don't look back. Simple!

Fast Luck Mojo Bag

Another excellent way to change your bad luck into good luck is to carry a Fast Luck Mojo Bag. Which Hoodoo Love Product is Right for Me?

Love love love... no matter what the season, love is at the forefront of every rootworker's client work. I often receive questions about which love product is right for a given situation, so I thought I'd go through each of the ones I offer and explain how they are a bit different, and give a recommended use for each.

True Love Hoodoo Oil, Herb Bath and Mojo Bag
True love is what everyone desires, and this line of products is my most "general application" for love. If you want to find your perfect mate, get a husband or wife, or meet a fantastic new partner, this is the stuff to go for.

A Hoodoo Love Spell to Draw a Perfect Mate
This spell is best performed on a Friday during the waxing moon.

You will need the following items:

• A figural candle of the appropriate gender for what you seek to attract
• A bottle of True Love Oil
• A package of True Love Herb Bath
• A list of all the qualities you seek in a perfect mate (keep it positive!)
• A plate
• A piece of red cloth

Take your figural candle and carve "my perfect mate" into the stomach of the candle. Dress it with True Love Oil stroking the oil toward you. As you go over each part of the candle, describe the qualities of your perfect mate. For example, "Your hands are soft and lovingly care for me when I need it. Your mind is keen and brilliant. Your lips whisper soft loving words to me. Your legs are strong and walk by my side through life's joys and sorrowes." etc.

Take your list of all the qualities you seek in a perfect mate and "5-spot" it with True Love Oil, by dabbing a bit on each corner and in the center of the page. Fold the list in half toward you. Rotate it 1/4 turn clockwise and fold it in half toward you again. Rotate it one more time clockwise and fold it in half toward you for the last time. Place this under a plate and place the dressed figural candle on top of the plate.

Now ring the candle with the herbs from the package of True Love Herb Bath, by sprinkling them clockwise around the candle. Burn the candle until it has finished, then gather up the remaining wax and your list of qualities and wrap them up in a piece of red cloth. Place this bundle near your front door (or bury it near your front doorstep if you can). You can hide it in a vase or some other container too. The idea is to place it near your front door to draw your True Love to your doorstep and into your life.

Attraction Oil, Herb Bath and Powder

Attraction products were made to increase a person's attractiveness. It magnetically draws people to you. This is a good line of products to use in order to meet new people and draw new potential dates to you, or to get a person's attention.

Attraction Herb Baths to Draw a Date

This is a great spell when you're heading to a social event and want to meet new potential mates.

You'll need:

• 1 bottle of Attraction Oil
• 1 packet of Attraction Herb Bath
• Honey
• Two white candles (tea lights are fine)

Start by dumping the packet of Attraction Herb Bath into a coffee cup. Pour boiling water over it and allow it to stand for about 5 minutes to let all the herbs release their essences into the water. After five minutes strain out the herbs and pour the cup of water into a larger bowl or basin of bath-temperature water. Add in a little dab of honey to the water. Pray over this prepared bath for God to magnetically attract a beautiful new mate into your life, for him or her to find you sweet and attractive and for you to meet quality people that you, too, find attractive.

Take the bowl into the bathtub or shower. Light two white candles and place them on either side of the tub so you will cross between them as you enter and exit the tub. Either plug the tub or stand over another bowl to capture some of your used bath water.

Now pour the herb bath over you from feet upward toward your head, to draw in the new potential mate and attract others. As you do so, pray in your own words, stating how attractive and magnetic you are, how you are beautiful in everyone's eyes, etc. You might even describe the kind of person you'd like to meet and the qualities they have. When you are done using all of the bath, begin to wipe the excess liquid off of your body using your hands. ALWAYS stroke in an upward motion from your feet toward your head to draw in the positive attractive forces.

Now step out of the bath between the white candles and air dry. If you are cold stand in front of a heater. Don't engage in any mundane activities, just focus on your goal of being attractive to others. You can continue the wiping action with your hands - it speeds the drying process.

Once you are dry, you can dress your body with some of the Attraction Oil by dabbing a bit on your wrists, over your heart, behind each ear and on the bottoms of your feet. Dress in clean clothes.

Take a bit of the captured bath water outside and toss it over your left shoulder so the water flings toward the east, saying "In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost, AMEN!" Now return inside, snuff out the candles, let the rest of the bath water drain away, and go to your social event to meet great new people.

Love Me NOW! Oil, and Powder

Love Me NOW! products were formulated as coercive love products. Use these when you are targeting a specific person to make them fall in love with you. The trick to coercive love magic is repeated application and the more physical you can get in applying these on the targeted person, the more effective your magic will be.

A Sneaky Love Spell to Make Someone Fall in Love With You

This spell is best performed during the waxing moon on a Friday.

You'll need:

• A packet of Love Me NOW! Powder
• Hair from the head of the person you seek to target
• A small glass jar or bottle with lid
• A lodestone and some magnetic sand
• 1 bottle of Love me NOW! Oil
• A red candle big enough to fit in the mouth of the jar or bottle, or on top of it when the jar is capped

Take the red candle and care "LOVE ME NOW!" on one side, and the target's name on the other side. Dress the candle with Love Me NOW! Oil by stroking the oil toward you while you call your lover's name, commanding him to love you and come to you. Set this aside.

Take the bottle or jar and rub a little Love Me NOW! Oil on the inside of the jar and lid. Then place your lover's hair inside the bottle. Next dress the lodestone with some Love Me NOW! Oil and instruct it to draw your lover to you, making him think constantly of you and crave for your company and physical touch. Place the lodestone in the bottle and give it a healthy pinch of magnetic sand to feed it and help it keep working strong.

Now dump the majority of the packet of Love Me NOW! Powder into the bottle. As you do so, call your lover's name out loud, commanding him to come to you, love you with his/her heart, soul and mind. Command all five of his or her senses to be intoxicated with you and for them to come running to you and love you with all they have.

Take the remainder of the Love Me NOW! Powder and dust the candle with it. Place the candle in the mouth of the jar. If it is too small or too big, you can cap the jar and stick the candle to the top (if you have a cork for a lid, place the candle in a candle holder next to the bottle so it doesn't catch fire). Light the candle and let it burn all the way down, calling your lover to you with the light of your magic and the power of your intent.

When the candle is done burning, cap the jar (putting the wax drippings inside if there are any). Place the jar under your bed to draw your lover to your bed where you can seal the deal in an erotic encounter.

Love's Fire Oil

Love's Fire Oil was formulated to help fire up existing relationships that might have gone a bit cold in the intimacy department. Use it to rekindle the romance in a marriage, or to make the most of a romantic getaway.

Take the genital candle and carve your partner's name from the bottom toward the top of the candle (to make their sexual fluids RISE). Lovingly stroke Love's Fire Oil on the genital candle as if you were making love to it, speaking your partner's name aloud, making sexy statements about all of the intense sex you'll have together.

Place your partner's pubic hair on the center of the plate and place the genital candle on top of it. Now rub some Hot Fucker Oil on the Southern John Root and place that on the plate at the foot of the candle (but not too close so it won't get captured in dripping wax).

GO WASH YOUR HANDS CAREFULLY to remove any lingering oil.

Return to the candle and light it. While you gaze into the light of the candle, begin to pleasure yourself sexually. The objective here is to gather some sexual fluids, but NOT CLIMAX. When you have collected some vaginal fluids (for the ladies) or a bit of precum (for the men) rub that onto the candle and state "My sexual fire draws your sexual fire and together we will ignite the fire of love that is within us! AMEN!"

Allow the candle to burn all the way down. When it is done burning, get the Southern John Root, place it in a muslin bag and gather up your bed linens. Wash the linens and toss in the muslin bag containing the Southern John root. When you dry the sheets, remove the Southern John Root.

The candle remnants can be lovingly gathered up in a little bag and placed under the bed. Put the newly dressed sheets on the bed and get ready for a night of some HOT sex!

Hot Fucker Oil

This controversially named product is strictly to have hot sex - no attachments required. It is a seduction oil plain and simple. Sure you could use it in a loving context with great results, but you can also use it just to get some action for a night on the town.

Seduction Hoodoo Spell

All you need for this is a bottle of Hot Fucker Oil. Plain and simple, dress your own body with the oil (do a patch test first to make sure you don't have any skin sensitivity!) by dabbing a bit on each wrist, inside the crooks of your elbows, behind each ear, behind each knee, and a dab on the bottom of each foot. As you do so, read the Song of Solomon - Chapter 5 aloud.

Now head out for your night on the town and make a point to go after the guys or gals you find interesting. You'll see them respond in a much more physical way than they usually do!

Okra Baths to Break Evil Magic

In past postings I discussed the magical power of okra and how it can be used in protective work. Okra is also useful in breaking evil, curses and any kind of negativity. One of the best ways to do this is to make a magical bath with okra.

Okra baths are effective in a single application or you can do them regularly as part of a spiritual hygiene routine. Whenever I feel that someone has thrown some serious curses at me, or even reversed work back at me, I use an okra bath to shatter the curse or evil, and allow me to smoothly move through life slipping out of its grasp. It's important to note that if you are allergic to okra you should not be doing this bath.

How to Prepare a Magical Bath with Okra

Okra baths need to be made a bit in advance in order to get the most out of the herb. Okra emits a slimy juice, it's characteristic herbal property, that reacts with water to create a mucilage. This slippery, slimy juice is what breaks the evil magic and also allows you to slide under the radar and escape enemy attack.

You'll need:

• About 20 fresh okra pods
• A large basin
• Fresh water
• A sieve or strainer

Start by pouring about 2 cups of fresh water into the basin. Now begin manually breaking up the okra pods with your hands in the water. Try to rip them up into the smallest pieces you can. Use your hands and pray over the okra, asking that God shatter any evil that has been sent at you. Once you have broken up all of the pods with your hands, begin scooping them up in your hands and squeezing as much juice as you can out of them. Keep adding water, cup by cup taking time to squeeze the pods and extract their juice into the water between additions. Once you've filled the basin up with enough water for a magical bath set the basin aside to sit for about half an hour. (Use reason to figure this out - quantities are NOT specific here. All you need is enough to dump over your head and cover your body.)

After the bath has sit for about half an hour, being to scoop the bits of okra out of the fluid. Give them a good squeeze and place them into the strainer (holding the strainer over the basin - the mucilage will continue to drain out into the basin). Once you've gotten all of the okra bits out of the bath and you have a strainer full of the stuff, use your hand to press the last bits of juice out of the herbs, allowing it to fall into the bath. Then take the okra chunks and toss them in the garbage. All we need is the juice.

Stir the bath up well with your hands. As you do so, you'll note it's VERY slimy. This is precisely what we want.

Take your basin into the bathroom. Light two white candles and place them on either side of the tub or shower to that you will cross between them as you exit the tub (like a gateway of light). Disrobe and take the basin with you into the tub. Now begin by praying Psalm 37 "Do not fret because of evildoers, nor be envious of the workers of iniquity. For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and whither as the green herb!" (or you can read the psalm in its entirety) If you don't like reading the psalms you can also just pray in your own words to your higher power for it to shatter the curses laid against you, wipe you clean of any evil and restore you to peace and grace.

Now, pour the bath over you from your head down to your feet. Yes it is slimy. Yes it feels weird. Yes it really works!

Make sure to cover EVERY part of your body with the bath. Then set the basin outside of the tub. You can then shower off the slime, making sure to get it all off. Once you are fully clean you can exit the shower passing between the two lit candles and towel dry. You can also pinch out the candles and reuse them for another bath, or if this is a one-off bath, just set them on a counter or your altar and let them burn down completely.

You should notice how good you feel IMMEDIATELY after the bath. Dress in clean light colored clothes and avoid getting agitated or angry for that day. Do something relaxing and keep your calm. If you have a protective oil or mojo bag you can wear, it's a good idea to use it after you've dried off from the bath.

**NOTE**

This is one example of a magical bath that is NOT left on the body to dry. While the slime has healing properties and IS very good for the skin, you don't want to keep it on your body. Additionally, this is a magical bath where you DO NOT capture your used bath water. Just let it run down the drain and rinse out the shower or tub after you are done.

Spell to Slide out of a Situation

I recently had a client approach me with a case where an enemy was unjustly persecuting him and his family. This enemy was a crooked official and had power to cause lost of legal problems for my client. The reading I conducted on his behalf explained that the best course of action was to "get my client off of this guy's radar" - essentially, an Invisibility/Protection spell.

Slide Through it With Okra

To accomplish this, I resorted to using an herb that I've gained knowledge of through my Lukumí practice - okra! Okra, also known as quimbombó in Spanish, is a very effective herb for sliding out of situations or getting negativity to just slide right off of you. Anyone who has ever cooked with okra knows that it creates a slimy mucilage when it is cut open. This slippery slime is the key to its success. Other herbs that exhibit this same slimy quality that are used to get people to stop pestering you include chia seeds and slippery elm (two excellent herbs for stop gossip work).

A Spell to Slide Out of a Situation

In the spell (photo to the right) you can see that I used a white figural candle to represent my client, and two offertory candles, one for each of his children involved in the situation. Their names are carved into the wax and the candles are dressed with Fiery Wall of Protection Oil. A ring of 21 okra pods are placed around the edge of the plate to deflect the attention of any enemies, and a name paper was prepared with the client's name and his kids' names encircled with "out of sight, out of mind".

The candles were allowed to burn all the way down, then in a non-hoodoo twist, I placed the plate on top of Yemayá's pot for three days. Yemayá is the orisha (Lukumí goddess) of motherhood and through obí divination (using 4 pieces of coconut) she consented to help with my client's situation. Here's an example where magical techniques can be paired with other spiritual paths of similar African heritage for an unexpected plan of attack.

Okra Baths For Protection Against Negativity

Okra can also be used in magical baths to have enemy work slide right off of you. They are best used defensively once you get the sensation someone is working tricks against you. They are easy to prepare and effective, especially at calming you down if you're getting worked up about the issue.

You'll need:

• A washtub or big bowl
• A small bowl
• 13 okra pods
• white rum
• salt
• a strainer

Take the 13 okra pods and put them in the small bowl. Add about 2 cups of warm water. Begin manually breaking up the okra pods, squishing them between your hands and fingers, getting the mucilage to come out of them. Pray Psalm 23 while you mash up the okra. Continue to work the pods until they are finely mashed up in the water. Now strain the okra and pour the fluid only into the big bowl. Discard the chunky okra parts.

To the large bowl of water add sufficient bath-temperature water to fill the bowl. Add in a good glug of rum and a tablespoon of salt. (Sounds like we're making dinner, huh?) Stir the mixture around with your hand while you pray to God to take the evil afflictions, intentions and wishes of others off of you, to give you the fortitude to slide out of this situation and be protected and safe in His grace.

Take the prepared bowl of magical bath into the shower. Place two white candles on either side of the shower door or tub so that you walk between them when you exit. Light the candles, disrobe and take the bath with you into the shower. Pour the fluid over your body from your head down toward your feet praying Psalm 23. If you are EXCESSIVELY sticky you can rinse a bit with some fresh water from the tap. When you are done, wipe the excess fluid off of your body with your hands always wiping from head down toward your feet. Step out of the bath or shower by walking backward between the candles, (slipping out of the situation).

Towel dry, wear clean clothes, and stay out of trouble for the rest of the day (don't go into noisy places, bars, crowds, etc.). You can rinse out your tub or shower to get rid of the rest of the mucilage. Place the two white candles on your altar and allow them to burn down. There's no need to capture your used bath water or dispose of it in any special way.

Spells and Rituals for Psychic Power

As a spiritual worker, I always have to be ready to perform a reading at the drop of a hat, but sometimes the gears get stuck and your psychic abilities just seem to go into hibernation. That's where the following spells and products come in handy. Some of them work to keep your perceptions clear, while others boost your powers. Even a novice who is just starting to develop their psychic perceptions would benefit from these spells as they train and practice.

It's important to keep in mind that in spite of the workings below, one of the most important things when performing spirit work, is to avoid self-doubt. That sounds very easy for me to say, but it really is the greatest obstacle there is to developing your abilities as a reader. Once you pray and enter into a meditative mental state to conduct a reading, you need to listen to your hunches and those gut reactions - that's your psychic channel opening up and receiving good information. The more you act on your instincts and first impressions, the more powerful your psychic perceptions will become over time.

Spiritual Baths for Psychic Power

A simple and effective ritual before doing heavy psychic work is to take a spiritual bath. Now, these are a bit different than traditional hoodoo baths, but they use many of the same ingredients. The objective here is to pump up your helper spirits and open your perceptions so that communication is more easily conducted between you two. This bath can be performed right before a reading or a seance as an effective way of increasing your psychic power.

Ingredients:

• Holy Water
• Florida Water
• Anise Seeds
• Liquid laundry bluing
• White Flower Petals
• Vision Oil

Place a tablespoon full of anise seeds in a coffee cup and pour boiling water over it. Allow it to sit for 10 minutes to let the essences leech out into the water. Strain the herbs out of the water and throw them away. Get a large basin and fill it with water that is slightly cooler than bath-temperature water. Add the anise water and holy water into the basin along with a nice big glug of Florida Water. Add a little squirt of liquid laundry bluing to the water - just enough to die it a very pale blue. Then take your white flower (a white carnation will do), and hold it over your third eye. Pray the Lord's Prayer and ask your spirit guardians and guides to open your sight and give you the gift to hear their guidance. Rip the petals off of the stem and scatter them into the basin. Run your hand through the water and pray for this bath to cleanse away any psychic disturbances and for it to open your perceptions to hear the messages of your guides.

Place two white candles on ether side of the tub, disrobe and enter into the tub with your basin of prepared bath. Dump the bath over your head and you pray the Lord's Prayer and allow it to pour all over every part of your body. You will immediately notice energy and shivers running through your body - those are the spirits opening up your channels. Wipe as much of the bath off of you as you can, then step out of the bath tub and towel yourself dry. Dab a bit of Vision Oil on your temples and the bottoms of your feet. Dress in white clothing and conduct your psychic readings as normal.

You'll notice this bath doesn't require the disposal of captured bathwater in any ritual way, nor does it require you to pray any particular psalm. It comes from the tradition of Kardecian Spiritism as it was practiced in the Caribbean. I was taught this formula when I was learning to be a spirit medium back in the day.

Vision Mojo Bag for Strong Psychic Powers

A mojo bag is always a great way to keep an intended magical goal near your physical body. One great recipe I came up with is my Vision Mojo Bag. This bag couples together herbs and seeds that are all suited to enhance clairvoyance, spiritual perceptions and psychic abilities. Anyone who works as a professional reader should carry this mojo bag on her person to keep the abilities going strong all day long. It comes with its own bottle of Vision Oil to feed it and keep it strong.

Honoring Your Ancestors - Talking to Spirits

Everyone should have a nice strong relationship with their ancestors. The ancestors give us wisdom, guidance as well as protection, and they have a vested interest in seeing us succeed. In many ways we are the pinnacle of their lives' efforts - so they don't want to see us fail.

Everyone should honor their ancestors in some way. For some this is just a matter of setting out photos of the dead on a special shelf. Others - like myself - honor them by communicating with them, making offerings to them and fostering relationships with them that one can call upon for spiritual assistance. This is actually a very easy thing to do and it has deep roots in many different cultures.

You'll want a special space or surface that you can dedicate to working with the spirits of your ancestors. A shelf or top of a dresser will work fine. Lay out a white cloth (I use a doily) and on that doily place framed photos of your deceased family members. If you are adopted, it doesn't matter if they aren't blood relatives - they are your ancestors of heart; the people who were your family in life and who welcomed you to their lineage. Only place photos of dead people on that space - no living people at all. Then put out small offerings of the kinds of beverages they liked. Often people will place a cup of coffee or tea, or a shot glass of whiskey or the like. You should at least have one glass of water for the dead - to refresh and cool their spirits. Then, get a white jar candle and put a few drops of Blessing Oil in the top. Some folks like to use a screen-printed candle that has an image of a saint, or Jesus or Mary on it - that's fine too. Let your personal tastes dictate how you handle it. You can also place a small vase of flowers on that space for the ancestors - just throw them away when they die. Food is also an acceptable offering, just make sure it isn't salted. Salt drives away the dead.

Once you have light and water for your ancestors on that space, then you pray. Pray the Lord's Prayer or the Hail Mary - or pray from your heart. Communicate with your ancestors, thank them for everything you have and ask them to guide you in your heart as well as protect you every waking and sleeping moment of your day. Then sit and listen in stillness for any messages that come to you. They might give you an idea in your mind, or a gut feeling - that's the ancestors communicating with you on a very basic physical level.

If you do this every day even for just 5 minutes a day, you'll start to notice real progress in your ability to detect the spirits of the dead. You'll have an easier time talking with them and opening up your perceptions and abilities.

Clear the Way with Road Opener! (Abre Camino)

Sometimes life feels like a constant up-hill climb. Everything you try to do is a huge effort, and often those efforts don't amount to anything. It's like a serious case of bad luck.

Now, in these instances it's a good idea to rule out jinxing or crossing as a cause. A good psychic reading will help you in determining the cause of your problems. If you come up clean, and aren't being hexed or crossed in any way, then you just need to have your road opened up a little.

Using Road Opener (Abre Camino) Baths

One of the easiest ways to clear out your path in life is to give yourself a set of 7 Road Opener Herb Baths. These should be started on a Monday, the herbal infusion is poured over the head to wash away any obstacles, and then the captured bath water is tossed into the crossroads over your left shoulder (just as in an uncrossing bath). These baths will serve to open up your opportunities in life and make things a lot smoother for you. Keep in mind, Road Opener Herb Baths will not remove jinxes or evil magic that has been thrown at you, so it's important to check to see if the cause of your obstacles in life is due to external magic, or just plain old bumps in the road.

Roads of Fortune Spell - For Love, Money and Luck

Here is a great little spell to help open up opportunities for you in life; love, money and luck. It capitalizes on the power of Road Opener products along with some other condition oils.

You'll need:

• Your photo
• 1 Yellow glass-encased candle
• 1 red jumbo candle
• 1 green jumbo candle
• 1 orange jumbo candle
• 1 Bottle of Road Opener (Abre Camino) Oil
• 1 packet of Road Opener (Abre Camino) Herb Bath
• 1 bottle of Fast Luck Oil
• 1 bottle of True Love Oil
• 1 bottle of Money Draw Oil
• Salt
• a piece of pyrite
• a whole nutmeg
• a lodestone
• a red flannel bag

Start by gluing your photo to the front of the glass-encased candle. Then poke 3 holes down into the wax of the glass-encased candle using a skewer. Into the holes add a few drops of Road Opener Oil. Set this candle in the middle of your work area. Now, on the red candle, carve the word "Love" and dress it with True Love Oil stroking the oil toward you. On the green candle carve "Money" and dress it with Money Draw Oil stroking the oil toward you. Finally on the orange candle carve "Good Luck" and dress it with Fast Luck Oil drawing the oil toward you. Set these three candles in holders in a triangle pattern enclosing the yellow candle with the orange as the top point of the triangle, and the red and green candles as the bottom two points. Using salt, create a line from the point candles to the central candle. You should, in effect, have three roads of salt radiating out from the central candle toward each of the three blessing candles. Dress the lodestone with True Love Oil and set it by the red candle. Dress the nutmeg with Fast Luck Oil and place it near the orange candle. Dress the pyrite chunk with Money Draw Oil and place it near the green candle.

Now, go take one Road Opener Herb Bath as described above. Once you have dried off and disposed of the used bath water properly, then return to your working surface and light up the central candle. State "OPEN THE ROAD! OPEN THE ROAD! OPEN THE ROAD!" knocking on the table each time you say it. Then light the orange candle and state "My roads in life are filled with good luck, good fortune and fortuitous outcomes. This I pray in the name of Jesus Christ! AMEN!" Next light the red candle and state "My roads in life are filled with love, acceptance, friendship, camaraderie and support. This I pray in the name of Jesus Christ! AMEN!" Finally light the green candle and state "My roads in life are filled with prosperity, money, good paying jobs, fortunate financial transactions and large profits! This I pray in the name of Jesus Christ! AMEN!"

Then begin chanting "Luck, Love, Money - OPEN THE ROAD!" over and over while you gaze into the flames that are lit. As you chant faster and faster, stamp your feet and once you feel you've raised enough energy stop and exclaim "By your holy power, Jesus Christ, AMEN!" Allow the candles to burn all the way down. When the central candle has burned out, you can then collect the pyrite, the nutmeg and the lodestone and place them in a red flannel bag. You can add a pinch of the salt from the "roads" that radiated out from the central candle too. Tie off the bag, dress it with a bit of Road Opener Oil and carry it with you for general good luck in everything you do.
